Announcements
We have a new crane!  It's a 1993 Grove which now allows us to handle heavier boats.  Contact us if you would like a quote to move or store your boat.
As you might recall, Governor Deval Patrick signed into effect for this year a new Salt Water Fish registration program.  In 2010, Massachusetts saltwater anglers must register with the Federal Saltwater Registry with no fee at www.countmyfish.noaa.gov or by phone at 1-888-674-7411.

For 2011 and into the future there will be a charge of $10.00 and those permits will be available through retail locations or the local Marine Fisheries offices.  Learn more details at: www.mass.gov/marinefisheries.

Throughout this boating season the Massachusetts Marine Trades Association has worked in partnership with the Survey Team at UMASS Boston's Urban Harbors Institute and the Massachusetts Ocean Partnership in support of the 2010 Massachusetts Recreational Boater Survey which is now underway.

MA Marine Trades and the Survey Team thank you in advance for your help.
We are currently into hurricane season.  We have enlisted the following policy so you can make arrangements in the event of a hurricane in our area.

We will haul at our Bridge Street location only and only as long as it is safe to do so.

We will place the boats on stands in the safest place possible.  Sailboats must have sails and booms removed and have the rigging as loose as possible, yet still safely supported.  (Remember, time will not be on our side at this point!)  We ask that you understand that in the hustle and bustle of trying to protect everyone's property including our own equipment and buildings in the time that a hurricane allots to us, it is obviously impossible to grant everyone's request.  We can promise you that we will do the very best that we can.

After the hurricane or threat has passed and if we hauled your boat out of the water and placed it in our lot, you will incur additional charges to re-launch, move the boat to another location or re-step your mast.

Davis & Tripp, Inc. is not responsible for damage caused by a hurricane.  Davis & Tripp, Inc. is under no obligation to remove your boat from the water during a hurricane event.  The planning is the sole responsibility of the boat owner.

We realize this may not be a convenient arrangement for everyone.  However, we feel it is necessary to have a plan and to let you know what to expect from Davis & Tripp, Inc. in the event of a hurricane.

After reading this statement, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call us.
